However, imho, Bob Jones Heritage Studies is much more balanced than Abeka history. It was very, very helpful for me.Roy Jones had the blazing speed that definitely could have bothered Foster. I want something that's not too easy, but not so accelerated she gets discouraged. My only input is that Abeka moves very quickly. Abeka is great material but for math use bob jones...Much easier to understand.I agree - neither. Didn't like Bob Jones Science at all. Personally, this curriculum on the student side is horrendous! I used it for math and phonics in K. There was only one page of practice for each short vowel, and the student was expected to get it and move on.

All three programs are taught either by DVD or CDRom, are very concept-based, and are meant to be learned fairly independently by the student - even students who aren't so hot in math.How do you think about the answers? Honestly, at this point you may just want to go it on your own. It's really clear, and it explains everything, and it's got plenty of review - instead of all the problems for one lesson being about that lesson, there's a variety of material going weeks back.
