I find this a little disconcerting, so I hope that there might be opportunities for more conversation about what coaching really is, how we measure the impact, what the indicators of success are, how we train coaches, and the definition of the role and responsibilities of a coach to stress that coaches are not the people who are also putting up bulletin boards and doing yard duty, printing out data reports, and covering for teachers when their sub doesn’t show.
Each team tries to optimize themselves and views other teams … It seems like a good book for that, but I found most of it hard to apply in the context of being a full-time teacher hosting a student teacher in your own classroom.This book presented knowledge, theory, and research backing the coaching practice in education organizations.
