All in all a great group of people that make the day fun and go by quicklyPeople are nice hard labor will recommend too bad our building will closedown soon, I'll miss alot of people here but it is business so i understand..Currently, 8 people have been there 25+ years, and not one of them makes more than $23/hr. They explained how much work needed to be done and gave compliments or shout outs to the people who had picked the highest amounts of product for the previous day.
Mgmt is compensated avg to above avg but are always hired from outside the company so they dont relate to the employees. The supervisors overall were very involved with their employees and always trying to get us to our best potential.

Pier 1 Imports maintains distribution centers in Maryland… The manager of the building is very phony, turns his head when things are going on, yet nit picks and puts personal emotion into indirectly “ punishing aka disciplining employees”, he is not up front and honest with his actions or words...probably why they keep going through CEO’S and closing stores. The management is horrible, and it's a dangerous place to work, OSHA could rack up well a million dollars in fines.Too much favoritism, inappropriate interactions between management and staff. Overall the people doing the work are nice and hard working but sheep and dont voice concerns about wage deficiency.A typical day at work started out with a meeting with our supervisors of each department of the warehouse.
